Data engineer, analytics engineer or data scientist?

A data engineer builds and runs the pipelines and the storage. An analytics engineer turns that data into clean, tested models for reporting, often with dbt. A data scientist uses the data to answer questions and build models. Many teams hire a data engineer first, because the other two roles depend on good data.
